It is very important that you have full insurance for your trip to the UK, even if you are only staying for a few weeks.
If you buy insurance in your own country, make sure it covers everything, not only medical emergencies.

Examples of what is covered -
- Travel to and from your home country
You will be covered if there is a serious delay to your flight or it is cancelled.
- Luggage and personal possessions while you are travelling
The policy will pay for any luggage or personal possessions lost or damaged while you are travelling to London.
- Personal possessions while you are living in London
You will be able to claim if something is stolen, damaged or lost. This also includes cash and travellers cheques.
- Medical care including emergency dental treatment
This policy will help you even if you are eligible for free medical treatment. For example - if you have a serious accident, the insurance will pay for your close relatives to travel to the UK to visit you, or for you to be taken back to your country for treatment. Also - dental treatment is not usually free in the UK.
This covers you if you have an accident and damage someone's property or someone is hurt. For example - if you break something valuable at your homestay or cause a flood in the bathroom.
- Cancellation of your course in case of illness
Excel English cannot refund your tuition fees if you are ill or have had an accident. With this insurance, you can claim for the week(s) you are away, as long as you have a letter from a doctor stating you were unable to attend school.
- Death & permanent disability
We hope none of our students ever has to claim for this reason! But sometimes terrible accidents occur and your family would then need financial help. |
