As we start a new year here in London, we are thinking about ways in which we can change our lives.
It is traditional in the UK to make a New Year’s Resolution (Wikipedia explains this tradition here) – it is a way that British people make a choice to change the way that they live, work and behave in the future.
Popular resolutions include giving more money to charity, adopting a healthier lifestyle, making new friends or learning a new skill. Between us, the staff at Excel English will be eating less chocolate, taking up photography, moving house and learning Danish. And we will keep doing all we can to help our students succeed in the future.
If you would like to change your life in 2014, why not come and study English here in London? You can live in London with British people in homestay accommodation, make new friends from all over the world in our multinational classes, and you could even take a recognised exam while you are here in the UK, to prove your level of English to your future employer or your university.
In 2013, the teachers on our IELTS Preparation classes were justifiably proud of their students’ results. 85% of our students achieved their target result or higher, and 16% of our students reached a score of 7.0 – higher than the 6.0-6.5 required to join most UK undergraduate university programmes.
Our next IELTS Preparation course begins on 27 January – find out more and apply now!
